LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
A 28-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and robbery charges in the beating death of an 82-year-old Henderson man in 2009.
Mickey Thomas said he was guilty of first-degree murder, armed robbery, burglary, possession of a firearm by an ex-felon, possession of stolen property and three counts of conspiracy. In exchange, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty against Thomas.
His trial was set to begin Monday. A sentencing hearing was set for Jan. 6 before District Judge Linda Bell.
Thomas was one of five people charged with the attack on Wesley Roberts July 24, 2009, at his home on Cervantes Drive, near Sunset Road and Valle Verde Drive. He died from his injuries 11 days later.
Marquell Javon McAlister, 21, and Alexis Patterson, 18, pleaded guilty Oct. 13, 2010, to charges related to Roberts' death and robbery. They are set to be sentenced Nov. 30.
Frank Estrada, 20, and Shaniece Holder, 18, are awaiting trial in the case. Holder's trial is scheduled for December and Estrada's trial is scheduled for January, court records show.

Yes, this is a horrible horrible thing that happened to this man and his family but Bob_Realist why would you want to hurt there families they had nothing to do with this and I am quite sure they are hurting just by seeing there children in there. Only God can judge and that's it! and for you guys even saying things like that makes you sound ignorant. What are you guys going to do harrass the family yeah that's real mature. The ones the are guilty pleady guily so they are going to pay the price for that.
I think the black guy was the ring leader in that murder. There...I said it...... I know everyone was thinking it. Right Zee???
Zee u r a complete moron there is NOT 1 comment here that mentions race, color or nationality other than the comment you posted....So how about YOU STOP playing the race card & realize not everything is about you....
I'm sure this wasn't a Hate Crime, or Crime against vulnerable Senior Citizens. This victim was Targeted. And he wasn't the first. And he won't be the last.
Uh Zee, I do believe you were the first person to throw out the race bait.
Will you people stop bringing race into every story. There's idiots in every race and criminals too! With that being said RIP Mr. Roberts.......

Heck maxy, maybe we can be told where they lived and the sob story of the way their freeloading parents brainwashed them.
It's a shame that Mr. Roberts wasn't adequately armed.
