Marijuana grow house at home owned by retired officer busted

Authorities have busted a marijuana growing operation at a house owned by a retired Las Vegas police officer, the Review-Journal learned Monday.
The rural home, located at 1291 Trout Canyon Road near state Route 160, was a converted marijuana drug house that contained more than 100 plants, sources said.
The home is owned by Tony Novack, a former Metropolitan Police Department officer.
Police think Novack was renting the home to the growers, and he was not a suspect, sources said.
No arrests in the case had been made as of Monday afternoon.
It's unclear when the home was raided.
The Drug Enforcement Administration conducted the sting with the federal Southern Nevada High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas task force.
Novack, 65, had been retired from the department for more than a decade. He bought the home in 2009, according to Clark County records.

I really don't see what the fuss is all about? The headline is not misleading it did not say the officer was busted, it only said he owned the house. The funny part is the grow house was owned by a cop...lol. They don't usually seize the properties of grow houses & most the cases get tossed out. WHY metro keeps wasting OUR tax dollars raiding grow houses is beyond me? Get your butts busy & arrest the thieving gangs who ruin people lives, leave the poor little pot growers alone!
For all you complaining about the paper, if it's so bad WHY are you reading it? The headline wasn't so bad it got you to read it AND comment. I'd say job well done Mr. Blasky!!

@preachersdaughteer..I find it kinda funny that you and your alter ego (bghs) are always telling those that don't share your point of view they are "not open minded". Then you make a statement that "most people don't think law enforcement is a noble profession". What part of that statement is open minded? As a preachers daughter, you should practice what you preach. Isn't hypocrisy grand? On the other hand, I feel Metro supporters, or law enforcement in general are by far supported by the general public.
