Las Vegas police arrested hip-hop music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight on a misdemeanor drug charge, police said Thursday morning.

Knight, 46, was pulled over in the 4000 block of Arville Street, near the Palms Hotel and Casino, about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a police spokeswoman said.

The patrol officer did a routine background check on Knight, which turned up three traffic warrants. A further search turned up a small amount of marijuana, police said.

Knight was arrested on the outstanding warrants, a charge of making an unsafe lane change, and a misdemeanor charge of possessing an ounce or less of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance, the spokeswoman said.

He was driving a black Bentley, which was towed from the scene.

Knight is the famed founder of Death Row Records, a powerful force in rap and hip-hop music. Its artists included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog and Tupac Shakur, who was gunned down on the Strip in 1996.

Knight also is a former UNLV student who played on the football team.

He has been in and out of trouble with the law since 1987.

This waste of human flesh needs to be put away from civilized society for a long time.

Outstanding warrants, drugs, traffic violations, in and out of trouble with the law for 25 years. Sounds like a menace to society with a pocket full of money. He will hire an expensive, influential attorney and skate only to put commit more crime until he kills or maims someone will he be incarcerated for any length of time. We need to keep trash off the streets. Metro does an awesome job but the judges do a horrible job and do not apply the law across the board, they do it as they see fit, and often legislate from the bench, with NO accountability except keeping the general public in eminent jeapordy from criminals, like this guy, 25 years of criminal history still walking the streets, doing drugs, etc.

As far as I'm concern he is a drug dealer and killer and doesn't care who he hurts and how.Just as long as he can get someone to bail him out and he can get away with murder(which he has),he will keep walking away from junk, scott free.

Time to call a Celebrity Lawyer. Community Service, and a small fine. With no charges added to his Record. If Paris, Brittany, Lindsey or Whitney can loan their Lawyers, this guy will be home before dinner gets cold.

This big fat slug would not last one minute in a one on one fight. He would gas out and probably have a heart attack. The only thing that makes this guy think he is so hard is when he has his surrounded by other hood ratts or when he is carrying a gun. Just another ex felon, rap thug. Nothing more and nothing less.
