North Las Vegas police arrested five teenagers Wednesday in connection with an hour-long robbery spree.

Officer Chrissie Coon, a police spokeswoman, said four boys and one girl, ranging in age from 16 to 17, were arrested. Their names were not released because they are juveniles. They face charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, Coon said.

Coon said police began receiving reports of armed robberies about 1:15 p.m. and caught up with the suspects near Commerce Street and Oak Island Drive, south of Alexander Road.

Coon said police learned the suspects were traveling in a stolen vehicle and confronting other teenagers. Some of the suspects also might be charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, Coon said.

One of the suspects who approached the victims had a BB gun, Coon said. The suspects demanded items such as cell phones, iPods and cash.

Coon said the suspects might be linked to four armed robberies in North Las Vegas and one in Las Vegas.

And Harry Reid claims we don't have an Illegal Alien problem in Nevada. Not that Americans don’t commit crimes…. But it sure seems most crimes in this state are committed by illegal aliens. Guess that’s why they make up most of the prison population. Time for ICE to put into overdrive, pedal to the metal… and start deporting them, and not just the gangbangers either.

Its clear the parental guidance was lacking. I would hold he parents responsible for these teens. This is actually what I'm talking about with today's youth. They are commiting felonies. I remember when kids would just shoplift and the parents would be called. I charge and punish these teens to the fullest extent of the law. They have just ruin their lives. I would never hire a teen that has committed a felony, they cannot be trusted, lack the ability to determine right from wrong and cannot follow simple law or established civil rules. Hold the parents accountable.

If they were white or Christian that info would have been released. You just need to know how to read between the lines. It's just how liberals think. Kind of like when a democrat gets arrested, they never say democrat and/or they put a r next to his name and claim it stands for representative.

    Standard liberal media rules…

Why don't they release their ethnicities, wait we don't need to be told that information. We already know. Another group of fine upstanding, hard working white kids from the West Las Vegas area.

Armed robbers should be treated as adults no matter how old they are. If you've ever had a weapon pointed at you, I guarantee that you'd agree - unless you're a serious idiot. Obviously the victims didn't know it was a bb gun, and would have been terrified and terrorized. That was the whole point of using it. The defense that "it was only a bb gun" should be totally and completely disregarded.
