Second suspect arrested in North Las Vegas slaying

North Las Vegas detectives and members of a multijurisdictional criminal apprehension task force arrested a second suspect in the Jan. 22 slaying of Quincy Lavelle Hill, 31, and the shooting of a second man who remains unidentified.
Walter Clark, 31, of North Las Vegas was arrested without incident Friday at a local motel, according to North Las Vegas police.
The January shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. in the 2600 of Ward Street near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police said Hill was gunned down after an altercation during a backyard gathering. He was shot in the head and the pelvis.
On Jan. 24, police arrested Terhain Woods, 20.
He and Clark face charges of murder and attempted murder.
According to North Las Vegas police, the investigation continues. Anyone with information is encouraged to call North Las Vegas police at 633-0111 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
