RENO -- A 49-year-old Sun Valley man has been indicted on a federal child pornography charge.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Thursday that Archie Russell Martin was indicted earlier this month in federal court in Reno.
He pleaded not guilty Wednesday during an initial court appearance. His trial is scheduled to begin on Jan. 24.
The indictment alleges Martin knowingly received child pornography on or about Feb. 12.
Martin was indicted in Reno federal court of possessing a machine gun in May 2002, but the case was dropped.

Paul - WHERE does it say anything about the Internet?
We can send rocket ships to other planets but we cannot figure out how to trace child porn peddlers through the Internet? If the Internet is that illusive for tracing crime then we have more problems than we know. The child porn peddlers, regardless of where they are, can be found if we wanted them found- anywhere in the world. The Internet is not private in any way and there is no hiding on it. It is time to get real about this.
How about arresting the person who sent it to him and anyone else involved... toss them into a very deep pit filled with poison tipped bamboo and venomous snakes... Oh wait, that would be too easy on them.
