A Basic Funeral notice for a deceased Las Vegas Valley resident is $25. This notice will consist of 7 lines of formatted copy, including the following information as space permits: the deceased's name, age, city of residence, occupation, military status and services (entered into Part One). Information exceeding that of the Basic Funeral Notice (entered into Part Two) will be charged at $100 for up to 23 lines and $40 for each increment of 1-7 lines thereafter. For purposes of estimating lineage and cost, approximately 34 characters including spaces and punctuation per line is average.

The Obituary Desk is staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Our lobby is open to customers Monday through Friday only. We are closed Sundays and holidays. Cutoff times are strictly adhered to; we must have text, photo and payment in our office by: 1:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday for the next day's publication and 3:45 p.m. Saturday for Monday's publication.

NOTE: Obituary charges paid to the Review-Journal are in addition to any fees imposed by the funeral home or mortuary.

If you wish to e-mail your typed obituary directly, please include your name, address, phone number and the name and phone number of the mortuary along with your obituary text to obits@reviewjournal.com. Pictures should be e-mailed to this address as well.

I will be bringing in cash, check or money order to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. I understand that payment must be made at 1111 W. Bonanza Road, during the normal Monday through Friday business hours, before the obituary is printed.

Any request to re-run a notice at no charge must be made within 10 days of the original publication and must be deemed newspaper error. All other claims for adjustments must be made within 30 days of publication.
