Obama fans: Go elsewhere
Tools
Some Democrats are in a titter over a Florida doctor's efforts to highlight his displeasure with ObamaCare.
Dr. Jack Cassell is a 56-year-old urologist from Mount Dora who recently posted a note on his office door reading, "If you voted for Obama ... seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your health care begin right now, not in four years."
The doctor, who has been active in Republican politics, said most of his patients were very supportive.
But not all, of course.
One angry patient sent a snapshot of the photo this week to Rep. Alan Grayson, an Orlando Democrat. Rep. Grayson called the doctor's move "ridiculous" and "disgusting."
This is the same congressman who went on the House floor last year and said the GOP's only health care idea was, "If you get sick, America ... die quickly."
Apparently, Rep. Grayson approves of free speech only when it's exercised by liberals.
Whatever Dr. Cassell's professional obligations, he clearly has a right to state his feelings about the most radical piece of federal legislation in the past 50 years -- a piece of legislation that directly affects his livelihood. And his patients also have the right to seek treatment elsewhere.
This is still America, isn't it? Isn't it?
But aside from igniting the typical political rhetoric, Dr. Cassell's stunt draws attention to the fact that many physicians don't like ObamaCare, and a significant number have said they may soon leave the profession rather than practice as quasi-government agents. A shortage of incoming doctors is also expected.
And as Democrats push us closer and closer to a European-style welfare state, another sign may soon become prevalent at doctor offices. It might read: "Services provided on a cash-only basis."
That would be legal, also, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it?

I've been coming to Vegas for a vacation, twice a year since 1987. Dropped $2-$3K every time.
I've had it with the local lib union-loving locals.
I won't be back.
Take this town and shove it!
Maybe patrick and his buddies will save y'all. Yeah, and I got some ocean-front property in Arizona I'd like to sell ya. And I'll even throw the Golden Gate in free.
And NOW, I gotta pay for the government fleecer's KIDS healthcare until they're friggin' 26 YEARS OLD??? AND MARRIED?????
I would like to see ALL doctors do this.... and THEN see what the annointed one will do!! Probably have them arrested for treason or some other BS reason.
patrick.... how's that change you so obviously voted for, working out for ya? Still gotta job? still have health insurance? or are you one of those folks that I pay for on the government dole?
You are a clueless lemming.
Do you have kids? What do you tell your high-school senior who has worked, studied meticulously their entire schoolage who wants to get into the med care profession? Do you support them? If you support their decision, do you lie to them and tell them how great it's going to be and how much money they can make? Are you going to be there when they can't pay back their $400K in student loans for college and med school? How about when they move back home because the GOVERNMENT GOVERNS their paycheck? Still like it now??
Honestly answer these questions, if you can. However, I really doubt it.
November can't get here quick enough!!
Hey, Dumocrats, I just got my Social Security Statement which told me that they will now be able to pay benifits in a few years. they will only have the money for 73 percent of their liabilities....this one week after you POSs passed another social program...pretty funny huh? I do not speak to relatives who voted for this criminal muslim and if I ran a business you would not be welcome.
If insuring 30 million more people is going to save so much money why don't we insure Canada? Think of all the money we'd save then. Then maybe Mexico, Cuba, North Korea. Get the credit cards out boys and start spending all that saved moola.
Well said, comrade! Have you built the gas chambers, yet? Or does that not start until 2014?
