    Brigham Young University, 1969

    J. Reuben Clark Law school, J.D., 1978

  • Qualifications for this office

I have been a practicing trial attorney, both plaintiff and defense, for 32 years. I have experience in many areas of law, including civil litigation, criminal law, governmental and constitutional law and election law. I have appeared in court in most of Nevada's counties, as well as Nevada Superior Court and 9th Circuit. I also have administrative experience, both in business and charitable organizations.

  • Describe your political philosophy. Are you liberal or conservative, socially and/or fiscally?

I believe in traditional American values as embodied in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. I believe that we need to reassert individual and states' rights against ever-expanding federal power.

  • Have you ever taken a stand on or voted on public records or open meetings matters?

No, but I believe in as much openness in government as possible, and I support freedom of information laws.

  • Describe your commitment to openness in government.

    See above.

  • Would you sign a transparency pledge?

Probably - but I would want to see what I'm signing first. (I am an attorney, you know!)
