North Valley Enterprises LLC, the developer of Aliante, donated a 3-acre parcel for the Aliante Library and contributed an additional $20,000 for educational materials and programs.

During the fall months, the library will offer several story time sessions for youngsters. Drop-in story times are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Preschool and lap-sit story times are also offered and registration is required. The Aliante Book Club meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The fall group will discuss "The Bonesetter's Daughter" by Amy Tan Oct. 22.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and exit east. Make a right onto Sky Pointe Drive, a right onto Frontage Road, and then a left onto the Beltway. Head east to the Aliante Parkway exit, then go south to the community.
