ON THE CUTTING EDGE: Meritage Homes unveils models

Builder showcases neighborhoods in Mountain's Edge master plan

Meritage Homes today will open six newly constructed model homes at the Evergreen and Great Falls neighborhoods within Yellowstone at Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwestern valley. There will now be three models for each neighborhood.

Festivities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will include raffles, prize giveaways and free refreshments from Memphis Championship Barbecue.

"Along with the view, the appeal of this community lies in great exterior design, great use of space and great value. Having worked for 18 years selling homes in the valley, I recognize quality of design," sales agent Thomas Zora said.

Evergreen is a gated, all single-story neighborhood of homes ranging from 1,757 to 2,124 square feet. Priced from the upper $200,000s, floor plans feature 10-foot, hand-finished ceilings, architecturally rounded corners, cider oak-finished cabinetry and recessed overhead lighting in the kitchen and halls, Zora said. Structural options include a fourth bedroom in lieu of den, a master retreat and covered patio.

Great Falls offers two-story homes ranging from 1,267 to 1,686 square feet, priced from the low $200,000s.

The Pine Shadow at Evergreen offers the option of a den at a secondary bedroom. The design opens to a great-room layout leading to a kitchen with pantry.

The two-story Star Falls design at Great Falls offers a downstairs bedroom adjacent to a full bath with shower.

"Meritage's use of space is unparalleled," Zora said. "Our homes are built to accommodate real life and real families."

According to Zora, Meritage was one of the first home builders within Mountain's Edge and was awarded the chance to hand-pick its sites.

"We offer some of the clearest, most picturesque views in the master plan. In this way, our communities are custom-made," he said.

The Club at Yellowstone is a fully staffed recreation facility situated at the center of the five villages.

The Club's resort-style amenities include a family swimming pool and spa, toddler wading pool and adult private pool.

Comprised of three buildings, the clubhouse offers locker room access, meeting room with big-screen TV, full kitchen and children's activity center.

Residents can rent common areas for private parties. Shade canopies, basketball court, barbecue patio and an outdoor play structure are also on the grounds.

To visit Great Falls or Evergreen at Yellowstone, take Interstate 15 and exit at Blue Diamond Road. Travel west to Durango Drive, go south on Durango to Mountain's Edge Parkway.

The sales galleries are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at 11 a.m.
