Milano floor plan provides options

The Milano floor plan at Centex Homes' Ardiente appeals to lovers of lofts and bonus space, according to Steven Winters, a sales agent at the North Las Vegas age-qualified community.
The floor plan measures 2,352 square feet when constructed as a single-story home and 2,813 square feet when built as a two-story home. Winters said about half of the buyers opt for the second floor.
The first floor consists of a family and dining room, kitchen with an island, owner's suite and two secondary bedrooms. The standard floor plan includes two full baths.
Home buyers who opt for the second floor gain a loft and second owner's suite with a walk-in closet.
The guard-gated community offers seven other single-story floor plans, ranging from 1,400 to 2,160 square feet with up to three bedrooms and as many baths. Prices start in the low $200,000s.
Homes come with kitchen pantries, laundry room cabinets, upgraded baseboards, raised-panel interior doors and ceiling fans in select areas. Master bath highlights include cultured marble vanity tops, a contoured Roman tub, separate shower stall and chrome fixtures. Homes are prewired for a security alarm system and cable in all rooms. Other standard features include a soft-water loop, low-emittance windows and an insulated gas water heater.
Homes are Energy Star-certified and come with an extended warranty.
The community features a 13,000-square-foot clubhouse with two swimming pools, fitness center, card and billiard rooms and a fireside lounge. Other resident amenities include a putting green, chipping green, tennis courts, six parks and walking trails with fitness stations. A 24-hour roving patrol oversees the grounds.
Model homes are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. To visit, take Interstate 15 north, exit Craig Road west and turn left. Turn right on Losee Road, right on Washburn Road, left on Pecos Road and right on Carla Ann. Then turn left on Walnut to the sales office.
