Three home sites remain at Falcon Ridge within The Ridges in Summerlin

Falcon Ridge, one of six luxury custom-home neighborhoods in The Ridges Village at Summerlin, has only three of its 60 total custom-home sites remaining, according to Summerlin officials.

The three sites range in size from one-third to one-half of an acre and are priced from $679,000 to $899,000, said Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of community development for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of the master-planned community.

  • "The Ridges has become the neighborhood of choice for those seeking an elegant lifestyle in one of the valley's most picturesque locations," Chandler said. "It's situated on an elevated hillside that overlooks the Las Vegas Valley adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area -- offering spectacular views from many locations."

The two half-acre home sites are each located on cul-de-sacs that offer an added degree of privacy, she said, while the one-third-acre site is located directly across from Club Ridges, the new private fitness facility exclusively for residents of The Ridges. Club Ridges features a workout facility, aerobic room, five tennis courts, tennis lounge, two pools, locker rooms and a park.

To date, nearly 250 home sites have been sold in six neighborhoods throughout The Ridges, and scores of homes are under construction, according to Chandler.

Located at the far western end of Desert Inn Road, The Ridges is Summerlin's most exclusive luxury village, Chandler said. It is taking shape around Jack Nicklaus' Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course, which features replications of signature holes from his courses throughout the Southwestern United States.

With its Summerlin address, The Ridges offers residents access to amenities such as parks, trails, championship golf courses and shopping centers, as well as offering proximity to private schools such as The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, which is just down the street.

Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990. Summerlin is a 22,500-acre master-planned community carved mostly out of raw desert along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.

The community is home to more than 95,000 residents and adds to that total every month. With about 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, Summerlin continues to unfold.

Summerlin is home to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 22 public and private schools and more than 100 actively selling floor plans.

Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family houses to condominiums and lofts -- priced from the upper $200,000s to more than $2 million.

Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s. Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the $900s.
