Aliante lights up the winter night

The Aliante master-planned community is inviting Southern Nevada to enjoy a showcase of holiday decorations this season.

Once again, the North Las Vegas community is showcasing illuminated displays and decorations along its main streets, with festive lights adorning palm trees and median trees and lighted garland on the monument walls. This year's holiday decorations will also include the return of two large animated light displays, including an elf with presents in front of the Aliante Information Gallery and a 40-foot-long sea serpent with a waggly tail adjacent to the lake in Nature Discovery Park.

"The spirit of the holidays is alive in Aliante," said Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises LLC, the developer of Aliante. "We're inviting all of Southern Nevada to include a drive through Aliante as part of their holiday season activities this year."

Through Dec. 21, the Aliante Information Gallery, at the southeast corner of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and Aliante Parkway, is hosting a Holiday Toy Drive in conjunction with the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. Donors are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy to the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Information about new homes in Aliante can be obtained at the Aliante Information Gallery. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
