Avante Homes preps holiday sales event

Through Monday, Avante Homes is offering new home buyers an opportunity to meet with a mortgage professional and take advantage of special pricing at its Denali neighborhood, located within the 3,500-acre Mountain's Edge master plan in the southwestern valley.

"Additionally, they can save in excess of $100,000 on some of the finest homes in all of Southern Nevada during our holiday (Monday is Presidents Day) weekend sales event," said Dean Welsh, Avante vice president of new homes.

  • Prospective buyers who visit the Denali sales center can meet with the builder's lender partner at no obligation and become prequalified for a new home loan, he said.

Welsh said 30-year mortgages with fixed rates as low as 5.5 percent are available to borrowers who meet eligibility requirements.

Welsh said Avante hopes the prequalification process can help potential home buyers realize that they are capable of qualifying for a mortgage and buying a new home in the current housing and mortgage markets.

"During these challenging times in the mortgage industry, some people who want to buy a home do not understand the availability of mortgages. Loan programs offering low interest rates are available to those with good credit. People can certainly still buy their dream home," Welsh said.

Furthermore, he said home shoppers can take advantage of special pricing on six homes ready for occupancy. The prices on the select two- and three-story homes were lowered today and start from the $270,000s, he said.

Each of the gated neighborhood's five floor plans is among the homes offered at special pricing, Welsh said. The detached courtyard-style patio home floor plans measure from 2,320 to 3,134 square feet.

Homes offer three to six bedrooms, 21/2 to 31/2 baths and alley-loaded, three-car garages. Highlights include ceramic-tile entries; granite kitchen countertops; Viking appliance package including a dishwasher, cooktop and convection oven; recessed lighting; and prewiring for ceiling fans, telephones and cable.

The third-story design option provides flex space and lends itself to media rooms, home offices and game rooms.

All homes are Energy Star-certified for meeting efficiency standards and saving homeowners on power bills.

Residents have access to a clubhouse with exercise room, pool and spa, as well as a 1-mile jogging trail and playground.

To visit Denali, enter Mountain's Edge at Blue Diamond Road, go south on Buffalo Drive 2.1 miles to Erie Avenue, turn left and proceed one mile to Rainbow Boulevard.
