Extended family finds new home in Prominence at Aliante

When former St. Louis residents Eric and Annette Phillips relocated to Southern Nevada last April, it didn't take long for them to find a home at Aliante in North Las Vegas that suits the needs of their multigenerational family, they said. Sharing the new two-story house with the couple are their four young children and Eric's parents.

"We had heard nice things about Aliante and upon visiting this community, we were impressed by every aspect of its design," said Eric Phillips, a pastoral assistant who came to Southern Nevada to help establish City-Wide Redeemer, a community of Christians serving residents of the north valley.

  • "Along with being a great location, in the area where we intend to build our permanent church, Aliante provides so much for everyone in our family," he said. "We love the parks, walking trails, beautiful outdoor areas and the wide range of recreational opportunities we have right here close to our home. In fact, we were enjoying the outdoor amenities at Aliante before we even bought our home here. We even had a party one day at Nature Discovery Park, which was a wonderful experience."

Annette Phillips concurred with her husband's upbeat assessment of Aliante.

"We really appreciate the benefits associated with living in a master-planned community like Aliante," she said. "Everything is well thought out, with easy access to shopping, recreation, schools, a library and other conveniences. It's perfect for people of all ages."

The Phillips family found their new home at Astoria Homes' Prominence at Aliante neighborhood. They purchased a two-story Residence 364 design, which features 3,807 square feet with five bedrooms, 31/2 baths, an owners' retreat, bonus room/loft and three-car garage.

"We love everything about this home," Annette Phillips said. "One huge attraction for us is the dual-master-suite design, which provides plenty of space and privacy for us and for Eric's parents as well. There are spacious secondary bedrooms for our children and the bonus room provides a perfect place for our kids to play and watch TV.

"Downstairs, the living areas are very spacious and open. It's a great home for ordinary day-to-day living as well as for larger gatherings, which we enjoy frequently with our church members," Annette Phillips said.

Over all, the couple said they are very happy with their selection of the Aliante community and Astoria Homes.

"Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to all of our questions or concerns," Eric Phillips said. "We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful home and community."
