  • Located adjacent to the village is Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area -- a nearly 200,000-acre nationally renowned cycling, hiking and climbing destination. Red Rock Canyon is home to more than 2,000 climbing routes and is considered one of the top five climbing destinations in the United States, according to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

"Whether you're into passive strolls along a landscaped trail system or an adventurous mountainside climb, you'll feel right at home in The Paseos," said Julie Cleaver, director of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "The village is ideal for recreational enthusiasts of all ages, interests and skill levels."

Seven home floor plans are selling in The Paseos Village at Coronado, a gated condominium project by Westmark Homes. Coronado's floor plans range from 1,305 to 1,803 square feet, and each home offers two or three bedrooms, two baths and an enclosed garage. Prices start in the high $200,000s, but special incentive pricing is currently offered on a number of units nearing completion, according to Mark Oiness, president of Westmark Homes.

Coronado features a resort-style swimming pool, spa and fitness center designed for the exclusive use of residents. In addition, shaded terraces throughout the neighborhood provide covered ramadas for outdoor grilling.

The Paseos Village features Hacienda and Mission architectural styles. Reflective of these styles, most homes in The Paseos include outdoor living areas such as courtyards, patios, decks, loggias and balconies.

"Given the emphasis on outdoor living, careful planning has gone into the landscape architecture of this village, which features a wide selection of plant life native to Southern Nevada," Cleaver said.

To visit, travel west on Charleston Boulevard past Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and make a right on Desert Foothills Drive.
