Aliante lifestyle suits couple

Pair ends search for second home in North Las Vegas

When Ricky and Cristina Allen were ready to purchase their home in Southern Nevada, they chose the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

"Cristina had originally found Aliante and was very impressed with the neighborhoods, the homes and the amenities," Ricky Allen said. "Then, I joined her for a visit to Nature Discovery Park and was equally impressed by the overall quality and integrity of design I saw in the community. Once we found our favorite home here, it all came together for us. We both fell in love with the idea of living here."

  • An active couple, they praised the vast recreational opportunities found within the Aliante master plan.

"We love the walking trails, the parks and open space areas seen throughout this community," Ricky Allen said. "I've enjoyed going to the driving range at the Aliante Golf Club and we both like to play tennis and badminton on a regular basis."

The Allens found their home at Pardee's Springdale neighborhood, which is nearing the sellout phase.

Three builders are currently offering new homes in five Aliante neighborhoods.

The Fields at Aliante, built by Astoria Homes, features residences that range from 1,654 to 3,374 square feet. Prices start in the low $300,000s, and zero closing costs and VA financing is available on selected homes.

Prominence, also by Astoria Homes, is a gated neighborhood of two-story homes ranging from 2,830 to 4,449 square feet and priced from the high $300,000s.

Sun City Aliante, by Del Webb, is an age-qualified community offering single-story homes that range from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and priced from the mid-$200,000s.

Springdale, by Pardee Homes, is a gated neighborhood of one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,990 to 3,314 square feet and priced from the low $300,000s.

Autumn Ridge, by Pardee Homes, is a gated neighborhood that offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging from 2,695 to 4,025 square feet and priced from the mid-$400,000s.

Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises LLC, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Pulte Homes. Encompassing more than 1,900 acres, the community is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive, Centennial Parkway, Decatur Boulevard and Clayton Street.

Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, intersects Aliante, providing access to Interstate 15 and U.S. Highway 95, as well as a commute to major destinations in the valley.

About 428 acres in Aliante are designated for recreational and public purposes, including the Aliante Golf Club, the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, Deer Springs Park, Aviary Park, more than 24 miles of lighted concrete trails and linear parks, as well as an arroyo.

Proposed plans for Aliante include two elementary schools and a middle school, all of which would be built by the Clark County School District.

The community's first school, the Theron H. and Naomi D. Goynes Elementary School, opened in August 2005. A new fire station was opened in April 2004 and the Aliante Library, located adjacent to the Nature Discovery Park, opened in May 2006.

About 100 acres in Aliante are allocated for commercial development. Residents currently have convenient access to shopping, dining and professional services at the community's various retail centers and the Aliante Corporate Center office park.

Ground was broken during the first quarter of 2007 for the Aliante Station hotel and casino, slated to open later this year.

The resort will be located on a 40-acre parcel at the northeast corner of I-215 and Aliante Parkway.

Information regarding new homes and neighborhoods in Aliante can be obtained at the Aliante Information Gallery which will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily beginning March 9.
