Salesman toasts new Pardee home

Salesman George Sakin relocated from the San Francisco area and looked at homes in Summerlin and Henderson before deciding on Pardee Homes' Fairbrook neighborhood in the Anthem area.

"I wanted a home with a 'wow' factor, which I found at Pardee Homes' Fairbrook," Sakin said. "I really liked the location and the neighborhood, but what sealed the deal for me were the great incentives Pardee was offering and the home's partial Strip view."

  • The neighborhood is located off Horizon Ridge Parkway and Jeffreys Street in Henderson and features a collection of five one-, two-, and three-story luxury homes with up to five bedrooms and 31/2 baths in 2,405 to 3,552 square feet. Home sites average about 5,500 square feet with prices starting from about $459,950.

"Coming from San Francisco, where housing prices are considerably more than here, I was pleased to be able to find a home that had everything I wanted and I could still afford to do everything else."

For Sakin, everything else included the addition of a backyard swimming pool and hot tub and built-in barbecue area.

"Pardee Homes made it easy for me to buy and I'm enjoying calling Southern Nevada home," he said.

Among the floor plans offered at Fairbrook are the two-story Plan Six with up to five bedrooms, including an optional first-floor suite, in about 2,679 to 2,835 square feet.

The flexible floor plan includes a parlor, with a formal dining room or den option, an upstairs book loft plus a large loft with the option of a fifth bedroom, and a three-car tandem garage.

The single-story Plan Five floor plan includes three bedrooms and den, with a fourth bedroom option in about 2,405 to 2,423 square feet, plus a two-car and swing garage.

Plan Two is a two-story design with four bedrooms, 21/2 baths, loft, two-car expanded garage in about 2,729 square feet and a porte cochere, providing a private entrance into the home and garage and play area for families.

Plan Three is a three-story design with three bedrooms, 31/2 baths, den, bonus room, three-car garage and measuring about 3,197 square feet. Plan Three features several flexible options including a fifth bedroom and fourth bath in lieu of the bonus room, and optional fourth bedroom in lieu of the den.

Fairbrook Plan Four measures about 3,552 square feet with five bedrooms, 31/2 baths and two-car plus swing garage.

Plan Four X adds a wrap-around porch and is offered on select home sites. Additional Plan Four features include a master retreat, optional bonus room and optional workshop in lieu of the swing garage.

To reach Fairbrook, take Eastern Avenue south of St. Rose Parkway and turn right on Horizon Ridge Parkway. Follow Horizon Ridge west then turn left on Jeffreys Street. The entrance is ahead, on the left. Pardee Homes' sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Tuesday when they open at 11 a.m.
