Richmond American Homes features single-story floor plans

Richmond American Homes is promoting one-story residences at several locations across the Las Vegas Valley.

"Our single-story homes generate a great deal of interest," said Nicole Bloom, vice president of sales. "With their attractive prices and convenient layout, they're ideal for everyone from first-time home buyers to retired couples, and any lifestyle in between."

  • The Glendale design is available in the Ladera Canyon neighborhood in the Summerlin master-planned community.

    It features an island kitchen overlooking the great room and dining area. An optional loggia is available.

    Priced from the $370,000s, the 1,950-square-foot Glendale features three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, study and three-car garage. A fourth bedroom is available in lieu of the study.

    The single-story Elm design is offered at Brentwood Grove in the northwest. Priced from $199,990, it features a covered front porch and an entry.

    The kitchen and nook overlook the great room, while the master suite is set toward the rear of the home. The design includes three bedrooms and two baths in 1,100 square feet, with an optional study available in lieu of the second bedroom.

    At Cobblestone at Laurel Canyon, buyers can choose from two single-story floor plans. Priced from $175,990, the 1,300-square-foot Cape Cod features a living room that is open to the dining area and kitchen.

    The Southampton, at 1,600 square feet, is priced from $189,990 and includes a formal living and dining room, family room and kitchen with nook. Both homes include three bedrooms and two baths.

    Highland Grove is a community of 94 homes featuring a park and walking trail. The community offers four plans, including the single-story Cataluna, a three-bedroom home with two baths in about 1,700 square feet. The Cataluna is priced from $209,990.

    Richmond American's single-story Vergnes plan at Desert Moon offers a layout with separate spaces for formal dining and everyday living.

    The dining room and living room and are located toward the front of the home, while the family room, kitchen and nook are toward the back. A hallway leads to two secondary bedrooms, a bath, laundry room, and the master suite with private bath. Priced from $199,990, this home measures 1,500 square feet.

    Residence One is a move-in-ready home within the gated community of Valhalla Estates in the southeast valley. Priced from $499,990, the home measures about 2,800 square feet with three bedrooms, 31/2 baths and a den, with an optional fourth bedroom available in lieu of the den.

    A courtyard provides outdoor entertaining, while the dining room is designed for formal occasions. An open great room flows into the island kitchen with a nook.

I have a brother in law that bought one and they would never come out to fix construction mistakes.They had a waranty but could not get it honored from Richmond American. Later I was told that the neighbors had all gotten together and filed a law suite...
