Early May Downtown Urban Living Tour features Newport Lofts

Hundreds of visitors got a glimpse of city living at its finest at Newport Lofts during the first Downtown Urban Living Tour.

The May 2 evening event highlighted Newport Lofts and other downtown residential developments and showcased the city's existing and up-and-coming dining, cultural and entertainment venues. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman was on hand to kick off the festivities.

"We were surprised and delighted by the number of interested tour-goers," sales agent Sherry Latham said.

"Throughout the evening, we welcomed participant after participant to take pleasure in our beautiful building, newly custom furnished residences and rooftop amenities at Newport Lofts."

The tour started with a reception at the Celebrity Lounge in the Entertainment District. From there, busses were boarded and tour guides gave testimony to the Downtown renaissance under way.

"I had no idea that there was a performing arts center or a transportation hub in the works for this area," said Amy Walker, a tour partaker who was accompanied by her fiancé.

"This is truly the happening place in Vegas right now."

The tour busses made stops at residential projects and entertainment spots throughout the evening.

At Newport Lofts, the only featured community with completed residences, participants were treated to an exclusive wine and cheese tasting along with being serenaded by the music of a guitarist.

As the sun set and the lights of the famous Las Vegas Strip came alive, most participants congregated along the Newport Lofts SkyDeck.

"People were in awe as they gazed at the spectacular 360-degree views of the city from our rooftop," Latham said.

"The night was glorious. The weather was perfect. The stars were shining. And, the air was filled with music."

"It was a perfect evening," Walker said.

"I can't wait to bring my friends back to enjoy what I did during the tour. Wow, the views from Newport Lofts were amazing and the interiors were stunning. I can't believe you get all of this for such an incredible price."

Prices begin in the low $300,000s. The development is located at 200 Hoover Ave., near the intersection of Casino Center Boulevard in downtown Las Vegas.

The 24-story luxury high-rise condominium complex features 168 loft-style and penthouse residences that measure from 911 to 3,052 square feet.

Its rooftop SkyDeck features an array of private amenities, including a resort-style pool, spa, running track and outdoor gathering spaces that provide panoramic views of the entire Las Vegas Valley.

The SkyLounge includes a movie room, flat-screen TVs, bar and billiards area. An on-site fitness center is equipped and offers men's and woman's locker rooms.

There is a full-service front desk and secured on-site parking.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
