Trail system connects Aliante neighborhoods

Residents of all ages use Aliante's trail system year-round. They walk, run and bike the 24 miles of lit walkways, according to Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises LLC, developer of Aliante.

"Residents of all ages enjoy the Aliante trail system on a daily basis," Naef said. "Not only do they come to the parks, but you can see them walking to and from the Aliante MarketPlace shopping center, just across Aliante Parkway. It's easily the most popular of all the amenities we have, as well as being one of the most visible."

  • Linking neighborhoods to parks, schools, shopping centers and one another, the system features fully paved paths with lighting and landscaping. Most of the trails align streets, separated by a green belt, while others pass between neighborhoods.

"With retail centers and parks throughout the community, almost all Aliante residents are a short walk or bike ride from many of the destinations they visit on a regular basis," Naef said.

Naef said the trail system improves the quality of life for residents and gives a greater aesthetic appeal to the community as a whole. "Pedestrians create vibrancy and a friendly atmosphere for which there is no substitute," he said.

Points along the perimeter will allow the trail system to link up with regional trails as the surrounding area expands, he said.
