  • "When you have a truly inspiring home in a place like Boulder Ridge, it will sell even in a tough market," Stuhmer said. "Boulder Ridge continues to generate a high level of interest among discerning buyers."

Kevin Orrock, top division executive for the Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin, said luxury home sales remain relatively strong and continue to drive the market.

"There is still great demand in Las Vegas for quality homes in distinguished communities," Orrock said. "The Ridges is a testament to that success."

Boulder Ridge features six floor plans from 4,000 to more than 6,000 square feet with prices starting at $1.7 million. The neighborhood is adjacent to Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course, offering views of the Las Vegas Strip to the east and Red Rock Canyon to the west.

C2 Lofts LLC, developed by executives of Christopher Homes, also have constructed Summerlin's first urban loft project. Located in Summerlin Centre, only five of 40 units remain in the first building of C2 Lofts.

Units range from 1,530 to 2,822 square feet and are priced from the upper $600,000s. A second building will add 22 more lofts ranging from 937 to 1,900 square feet. Prices are expected to begin in the mid-$300,000s.

Christopher Homes has built 10 neighborhoods within Summerlin since 1991. Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s. Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the $900s. For more information on Summerlin, visit summerlin.com or call 888-898-5015.
