"We identified more of what today's home buyers want, in terms of the livability of the floor plans and the specifications within the home itself," she said.

Lewis said buyers' wish lists often include a combination of ample square footage, functional floor plans, more outdoor space, better energy efficiency and value.

"When prospective buyers tour these three new models, they will see exceptionally functional and useful homes -- where every room has a purpose and space has been optimized," she said.

The three new model designs measure from 1,788, to 2,088 square feet, and offer up to four bedrooms and 21/2 baths with two-car garages.

The homes are Green Built Certified and qualify for the Southern Nevada Water Authority's Water Smart Home" Program.

The models feature quality appliances, pantry, eat-in-nook at the kitchen, a great-room layout, private den and an extended master suite with vaulted ceiling.

Secondary bedrooms share a bath, in some models, while loft areas can serve as an office or play room.

"The homes will work well for families, as well as singles and couples seeking extra space they can use for a myriad of other purposes, such as home-offices, studios, libraries, hobby rooms, home theaters, exercise rooms and a number of other possibilities," Lewis said.

Residents of Azure Canyon will have access to the amenities of Mountain's Edge including six planned regional parks and a trail system, as well as sites for schools and other public facilities.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road, go west to Buffalo Drive, head south to Mountain's Edge Parkway, then drive east and follow the signs to the neighborhood.

The sales office and models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Wednesday when they open at noon. For more information, call 405-7051 or visit pulte.com.
