Meritage names new division president

Meritage Homes announced this week that Barry Grant has been named president of its Las Vegas division.

In this position, Grant will be responsible for the daily operations in the Las Vegas Valley.

  • Grant brings 25 years of home building experience to Meritage Homes. He has extensive management experience with nationwide home builders including KB Home, Lennar Corp. and US Home in Colorado, Arizona and California.

    He was most recently the territory president of KB Home's Sacramento, Reno, Central Valley and South Valley divisions. While working in Colorado, Grant was named one of the top business newsmakers in 2005 by the Denver Business Journal and the Child Advocate of the Year in April 2006 by the Denver Children's Advocacy Center.

    He earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Regis College in Denver.

    Meritage Homes has built more than 58,000 homes in the Western and Southwestern United States and is the 12th largest home builder in the country.

    The builder is actively constructing 13 neighborhoods within the Las Vegas Valley.
