Aliante's Ice Cream Sunday draws thousands

Annual event features face-painting, bounce houses, games and prizes

Aliante's sixth annual Ice Cream Sunday event held Sept. 28 in the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park drew thousands of residents and visitors.

The event featured free ice cream, provided by Meadow Gold, along with face-painting, bounce houses, games and prizes. A highlight of the day was the Ice Cream Sunday Olympics, which featured a Hula-Hoop Scoop and Pool Duel games and a frozen T-shirt contest.

  • The event was co-sponsored by the Aliante Home Owners Association and 106.5-FM.

    "Aliante's sixth annual Ice Cream Sunday was very successful, in terms of both the number of people who came out for a day of fun and the many visitors who took time to view the selection of new homes available for sale among our neighborhoods," said Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises LLC, developer of the North Las Vegas master-planned community. "It was also an opportunity for visitors to become familiarized with the wonderful sense of community that exists here at Aliante. It was a great day for everyone involved."

    Four new neighborhoods are offered by home builders within Aliante. Prominence at Aliante, by Astoria Homes, is a private, gated neighborhood of two-story homes ranging from 2,830 to 4,449 square feet and priced from the low $400,000s.

    Fields at Aliante, by Astoria Homes, offers four and five bedroom designs that range from 2,228 to 3,374 square feet and priced from the low $300,000s.

    Autumn Ridge, by Pardee Homes, is a gated neighborhood that offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging from 2,695 to 4,245 square feet and priced from the $400,000s.

    Springdale, by Pardee Homes, is a gated neighborhood that offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging from 2,754 to 3,289 square feet and priced from the low $300,000s.

    North Valley Enterprises LLC is an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Pulte Homes. Encompassing more than 1,900 acres, Aliante is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive, Centennial Parkway, Decatur Boulevard and Clayton Street.
