Aliante's 'Movie Madness' continues

The Aliante master planned community's Movie Madness Series continues tonight with a large-screen film presentation of "Stuart Little II" in the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park.

The presentation will be the sequel to last night's showing of "Stuart Little." Free and open to the public, the movies are part of the 2008 Movie Madness Series presented by the city of North Las Vegas and the Aliante Master Community Association.

  • An adaptation of E.B. White's classic children's story, the movies combine computer-animated characters with a cast of live actors. The story centers around the adventures of a talking mouse adopted by a human family living in a brownstone near New York's Central Park. The movie is appropriate for all ages.

    The movie will begin just after dusk and no later than 7:30 p.m. Those who attend are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and picnic baskets.

    Nature Discovery Park is located at 2627 Nature Park Drive, near the southeast corner of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and Aliante Parkway. To reach the park, take U.S. Highway 95 north to the I-215 Exit East. Head east on I-215, exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed south.     Four new neighborhoods are being offered by home builders within Aliante.

    Prominence at Aliante by Astoria Homes is a private, gated neighborhood of two-story homes ranging from 2,830 to 4,449 square feet and priced from the low $400,000s.

    Fields at Aliante, also by Astoria Homes, offers four and five bedroom designs that range from 2,228 to 3,374 square feet and priced from the low $300,000s.

    Autumn Ridge by Pardee Homes is a gated neighborhood that offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging from 2,695 to 4,245 square feet and priced from the $400,000s.

    Springdale, also by Pardee Homes, is a gated neighborhood that offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging from 2,754 to 3,289 square feet and priced from the low $300,000s.

    Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises LLC, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Pulte Homes.

    Encompassing more than 1,900 acres, the community is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive, Centennial Parkway, Decatur Boulevard and Clayton Street. I-215 intersects Aliante, providing access to Interstate 15 and U.S. Highway 95, as well as a quick commute to major destinations in the valley.

    Information regarding new homes and neighborhoods in Aliante can be obtained at the Aliante Information Gallery, which is located across from Nature Discovery Park and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

    To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north to the I-215 Exit East. Head east on the I-215, exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed south.
