Centex to open Mesa Verde, offers early bird prices on attached homes

Pre-model prices are fueling early sales at Centex Homes' Mesa Verde, a gated neighborhood of attached homes in North Las Vegas, according to sales executive Daniel Howard.

Priced from the $225,000s to the $305,000s, Mesa Verde offers seven floor plans ranging from 1,490 to 2,392 square feet.

  • The two-story layouts include up to three bedrooms and three full baths with as many as four living areas.

"Mesa Verde offers so much for the money, and buyers know the best buys are available right now during presales," Howard said.

"This is an exciting product for first-time home buyers who want their own property with a private enclosed backyard, garage and home that bears the Centex name. Best of all, we're offering it at a very affordable price," he said.

Howard said Mesa Verde's entry designs give the homes the feel of stand-alone residences.

"Front entrances are on opposite sides, rather than right next to each other. It eliminates the attached-home feel altogether," he said.

"It takes just one look at our floor plans to realize these homes are really well designed. They live and look like stand-alone homes, but come without a hefty price tag."

Home buyers can choose from plans with first- or second-floor owner's suites and one- or two-car garages. Some plans include a balcony.

Mesa Verde homes bear the Energy Star seal of approval, which means they are at least 15 percent more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code, Howard said.

Home sites released for sale are planned for October and November closings.

Buyers can select flooring, cabinets, countertops and other interior features based on closing date.

Mesa Verde's gated environment includes a trail and community park.

"The park is perfect for impromptu picnics or quiet time with a book. Home buyers love that Mesa Verde's infrastructure is already in place," Howard said.

"That means no waiting for community amenities. Simply move in and start enjoying all the benefits."

Qualified buyers can take advantage of a flexible introductory incentive to assist with closing costs or an interest rate buy down, among other choices, Howard said.

Centex Homes also offers incentive programs to educators, healthcare providers, firefighters and law enforcement personnel as well as active, reserve, retired or veteran military members, he said.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when the office opens at noon.

To visit, take Interstate 15 and exit Cheyenne Avenue west.

Turn north on Allen Lane, west on W. Colton Avenue and south into the neighborhood, following the signs to the sales office.
