Rhodes' X-it opens poolside

Rhodes Homes' May 17 opening celebration of X-it, in the southwestern portion of the Las Vegas Valley, hosted hundreds of guests, according to Glynda Rhodes, president of i.d. Interior Design, which is responsible for the interior design of X-it.

The new 178-unit, three-story townhome-style development is located off Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, at Tropicana Avenue.

  • "We recently opened our recreation center and pool area, so this was the first gathering to jump start the vibrant life that X-it home buyers will have access to," Rhodes said.

I.d. Interior Design painted the condominiums with a color palette of seven variations of lime green, steel blue, grey and brown.

"We believe that the different color scheme, along with the interior features, really sets X-it apart from the typical condominium communities around the valley," Rhodes said.

Residences range from 1,663 to 1,759 square feet. Each comes standard with an attached, two-car garage, first-level courtyard and terrace at the second level.

Plan A is a 1,663-square-foot design of one bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, hobby room, great room and loft. A second bedroom is also an option in this plan. Plan B measures 1,690 square feet with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a great room and den. Plan C is a 1,759-square-foot design offering up to three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, great room and bonus room.

Prices begin from the $200,000s with standard features including granite countertops, kitchen pantry, Moen faucets and Shaker-style cabinetry. Also included are solid core interior doors with chrome handles and audio system prewiring in the great room.

Each residence meets or exceeds Energy Star ratings with the builder's use of blown-in cellulose insulation, low-e windows, programmable thermostats and 40-gallon gas water heaters.

The complex is anchored by a workout facility and club house for the residents. The 2,400-square-foot building offers a multi-purpose recreation room, exercise room, full kitchen and lounge/media area. The contemporary building will also provide access for residents to the pool, spa and deck area.

The gated development is in proximity to shopping, hospitals, educational and recreational facilities.

To visit from the south, take the Beltway west to Tropicana Avenue. Head east on Tropicana. X-it is located on the northeast corner of Tropicana and the Beltway.

Visitors from the north can take the Beltway south and exit at Tropicana, heading east. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information call 434-4449 or visit rhodeshomes.com.
