Meritage Homes' Watermarke offers classic designs in Mountain's Edge

Meritage Homes' Watermarke condominium project is presenting its Neiman and Classique floor plans for June and July closings, according to sales agent Frances Marks.

Watermarke is a gated condominium development in Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwestern portion of the Las Vegas Valley.

  • "The two plans offer similar square footage, but they live, look and feel completely different," Marks said. "People who tour our models are immediately attracted to one or the other -- they're that unique."

At 1,532 square feet, the Neiman design is a two-story condominium with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, under-stairway storage and a fireplace with media niche in the living room. The open floor plan includes a patio adjacent to the dining room. The second level has a laundry room, linen closet and master suite with walk-in closet. Buyers can opt for a loft in lieu of a secondary bedroom.

"The open kitchen with its breakfast bar and excess counter space is a big seller," Marks said. "Buyers are even more amazed when I show them the storage area under the stairs. It's perfect for holiday decorations and awkward things people like to have handy."

Classique measures 1,549 square feet with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Unlike Neiman's combined living and dining area, Classique has a front entry that separates the spaces into a more traditional layout. The second level consists of two bedrooms and a master suite with walk-in closet. Other architectural highlights include a patio, fireplace with media niche in the living room and a second-floor laundry room adjacent to a linen closet.

Every floor plan includes a two-car direct-access garage.

In addition to these two plans, Watermarke offers the 1,085-square-foot Citrine and the 1,309-square-foot Insignia. Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.

Granite countertops and an upgraded GE appliance package including a washer, dryer, refrigerator, gas range and automatic dishwasher, come standard. Other features include a soft-water loop, security system prewiring and 50-gallon water heater. Driveways are finished with concrete pavers.

A resident clubhouse is planned for the complex. Amenities will include an equipped fitness center, entertainment great room and billiards room, fireplace, pool and spa area with a shade canopy.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south, exit at Blue Diamond Road and travel west to Durango Drive. Turn south on Durango, then left. The sales gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when it opens at 11 a.m. For more information, call 730-2800 or visit meritagehomes-nv.com.
