Meritage's Yellowstone at Mountain's Edge offers home designs, clubhouse

Yellowstone at Mountain's Edge in the southwestern portion of the Las Vegas Valley is among Meritage Homes' best-selling communities, according to sales agent Jacquay Manos, who said the neighborhood's popularity is also due to its multipurpose clubhouse.

"The heart of Yellowstone is our clubhouse," Manos said. "People fall in love with the resort-quality facilities and friendly atmosphere." The Club at Yellowstone includes a fitness center, family swimming pool, toddler wading pool, spa and private adult pool.

  • Other highlights include shade canopies, a basketball court, barbecue patio and outdoor play structure.

The facility's three buildings house locker rooms, meeting room with big-screen TV, full kitchen and children's activity center. Residents can rent common areas for private parties.

In recent months, Yellowstone has added several commercial and educational facilities along with many new residents. An elementary school opened, along with Target and Kohl's stores.

"Areas within Mountain's Edge are zoned for commercial and professional sites. When buyers see the neighborhood stores, restaurants and schools, they know more are on the way," Manos said. "It's a really exciting time for Mountain's Edge."

The Club at Yellowstone anchors the community's four villages, where home buyers can select among 15 single- and two-story floor plans bearing names that evoke the terrain of the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest. Great Falls and Whitewater feature two-story designs with optional bonus rooms, master retreats, lofts, dens and covered patios. The gated single-story communities of Glacier and Evergreen offer up to five bedrooms and two- to three-car garages. Yellowstone's floor plans range from 1,267 to 2,746 square feet.

Manos said only about 20 of 200 homes remain unsold in the Glacier Village, where residences measure 2,360 to 2,746 square feet.

"Now is the perfect time for buyers to take advantage of quick move-ins on homes that live like estate homes. For people who prefer a single-story gated community with smaller homes, the village of Evergreen is ideal," Manos said.

Within Whitewater, the 1,994-square-foot Rock Springs floor plan with three bedrooms and three baths is a top seller, Manos said. "It has a retreat off the master suite and a first-floor den with an adjacent bath that includes a shower. Very few builders include a full shower when the den is standard. It's a highlight that contributes to the plan's popularity," she said.

Homes at Yellowstone are priced from the high $200,000s.

Mountain's Edge features an extensive network of trails and parks in its master plan. Upon completion, the community will include four elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school.

To visit Yellowstone, take Interstate 15 south, exit at Blue Diamond Road. Travel west on Blue Diamond to Buffalo Drive, turn left on Buffalo and right on Mountain's Edge Parkway. The sales gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except for Mondays, when it opens at 11 a.m.
