Richmond American's Desert Moon offers northern location, open layout

Richmond American's newest northern Las Vegas neighborhood, Desert Moon, has been a choice for home buyers who work at Nellis Air Force Base, according to sales agent Chris Burdick.

"A lot of our home buyers have been military personnel who love the location because they'll enjoy a quick, convenient commute to work every day," Burdick said. "Desert Moon has great access to both the 215 Beltway and Highway 95, so brand new shopping, dining and entertainment are all minutes away. There's a huge ballpark down the street, and we have a really nice park at the center of the community that adds a lot of neighborhood charm."

  • The homes feature an open layout with family rooms and island kitchens. Each plan includes separate living and dining areas.

"We have models of all three two-story plans open for touring," Burdick said, "and we have a quick move-in home of the single-story plan, the Vergnes, so buyers can get a firsthand look at that plan as well."

Priced from the low $260,000s, the Vergnes is a single-story home of three bedrooms and two baths within 1,500 square feet. The exterior porch entry leads into the home's formal living and dining rooms. The master bedroom suite includes a walk-in closet and private bath.

The 2,300-square-foot Hideaway is a four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath design, offering a kitchen with food-preparation island and nook. The home is priced from $310,000.

The Solitude is priced from the $320,000s and features four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths within 2,400 square feet. An upstairs loft can be selected as an optional fifth bedroom. A bonus room is available in the largest floor plan, Sanctuary, priced from the $330,000s. The four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath design measures 2,550 square feet. To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Losee Road and go south. Turn right on Centennial Parkway and proceed to Setting Moon. Sales offices and model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Friday when they open at noon. For more information, call the Sales Center at 644-9216.
