New Jersey couple buys Anthem residence

Coming from New Jersey less than a year ago, Connie and Joseph Paladino didn't know much about the Las Vegas Valley.

They said they decided to find out all they could about their options before choosing a community in which to purchase a new home.

"We had a Realtor help us search across the valley, but we just fell in love with the Anthem area," Connie Paladino said. "It is very pretty coming up to Anthem -- just so lovely the way the terrain rises above the valley."

The Paladinos said once they caught sight of the age-qualified Del Webb's Solera at Anthem community in Henderson, they had a good feeling about it.

A total of five floor plans are available at Solera at Anthem. Ranging from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet, the home designs within the age-qualified community offer two to three bedrooms and two baths. Pricing starts from the mid-$200,000s.

"They have a wonderful clubhouse," Connie Paladino said. "That was a big factor in our decision to buy a home here. My husband and I both like to work out and when we saw this facility, we could see that it was just as good as the one we went to back in New Jersey. In fact, it is much better. They have a pool and spa indoors and it is all so beautiful."

From the first visit, the Paladinos said they were eager to take part in the lifestyle of Solera at Anthem. They purchased a Lewis floor plan in a phase that was already under construction and offered a timely move-in date. The Lewis floor plan offers two bedrooms and two baths in 1,140 square feet.

"It was just the right size for us, so open and spacious," Joseph Paladino said. "It is great for entertaining. My son and his wife have been out to visit us. My niece and nephew have come out and stayed with us and no one is ever in anyone's way. It works so well for company."

The couple said Del Webb's follow-up care has convinced them that they made the right decision.

"The way they handled everything was very impressive," Connie Paladino said. "Even after we moved in, they handled every question or request we had. They are a wonderful organization and they made this a very easy transition for us."

Each home at Solera at Anthem is constructed with Environments for Living building technology, with blown-in cellulose insulation, conditioned attic spaces, 15 SEER-rated air-conditioning systems and dual-paned, vinyl-framed low-e windows, resulting in decreased internal and external contaminants; increased indoor air quality; decreased heating and cooling usage; and increased comfort, durability and tightness.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Eastern Avenue, go south, past St. Rose Parkway, to Anthem Parkway and turn left. Proceed on Anthem past the fire station, turn left on Somersworth Drive and follow the signs to the model complex.
