Pharmacists praise Earlstone lifestyle

Pennsylvania pharmacists Leanne and Michael Brill said they found the perfect prescription for their retirement lifestyle at Lennar's Earlstone in Anthem Highlands, a Henderson community.

"We have friends here," Michael Brill said. "We loved the weather. We began spending all of our vacation time here-not a long weekend, but 45 or 50 days a year. We always knew we wanted to retire here, so we just kept watching the phenomenal growth."

  • "The prices were going up," Leanne Brill said. "We started researching job opportunities and discovered there was a shortage of pharmacists in the area. About then it dawned on us. Why wait to move to Las Vegas to retire? Let's move now. And the sooner, the better."

They said they previewed a number of new communities but were discouraged by the cost of all the upgraded features.

"It seemed like everything we saw in the model homes was an upgrade with an additional cost," Leanne Brill said.

The Brill's selection, the two-story Pinehurst residence, is 4,486 square feet with five bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and a three-car garage.

The kitchen features a breakfast nook backed by bay windows, walk-in pantry and a food-preparation island with bar counter seating for up to eight people.

The house also includes a formal dining room and living room, study, den, family room, master suite with veranda, laundry room, downstairs bedroom and bath and media niche.

Exterior design elements include covered porches, patios and verandas, pop-out detailing around the windows, accents highlighted by two-tone exterior paint detailing and paver-stone driveways and front walkways.

Interiors standard upgrades include custom recessed lighting, slab granite counters, maple cabinetry, 36-inch gas porcelain cooktop, flush design double ovens, cultured marble vanities in all the baths and ceramic tile surround detailing in the master bath.

Earlstone, a gated enclave is at final closeout with a limited number of two-story homes remaining for sale, said Art Knudsen, Lennar sales agent.

The homes range from 4,084 to 5,085 square feet with pricing from the $700,000s.

The neighborhood is located at Anthem Highlands Drive and Democracy.

To visit the Welcome Home Center, take Eastern Avenue south to Sun City Anthem Drive to Bicentennial Parkway. Take Bicentennial to Anthem Highlands, turn left onto Democracy and follow the signs.
