Astoria Homes wins interior design award

Astoria Homes Prominence neighborhood in Aliante, master-planned community in North Las Vegas received an award for Best Interior Merchandising Design in the first annual Best of Nevada Real Estate Awards ceremonies Aug. 11.

Astoria Homes' Residence 225 at the Prominence neighborhood garnered the award for its elegant interior design, which was created by Ryan Young Interiors of San Diego, Calif., according to Sia Howe, vice president of marketing for Astoria Homes.

  • Howe said the company was honored to win recognition.

    "It is especially gratifying to be recognized in this way by both industry professionals and the general public," Howe said.

    "This honor extends to our interior design company and to the entire Astoria Homes team."

    Winners in the Real Estate Awards of Nevada were chosen by more than 22,000 votes cast by industry professionals and non-professionals through the Las Vegas Review-Journal Web site. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to the Nevada chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

    The Best of Nevada Real Estate Awards announced more than 180 nominees in 47 award categories. Astoria Homes was nominated as a finalist in six additional categories, including Best Builder Overall; Best in Energy and Water Efficiency and Green Builder; Best Overall Customer Satisfaction; Best Overall Landscape Design; Best Builder, Overall Product; and Best Commercial/Residential Architectural Design.

    Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises LLC, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Pulte Homes.

    Home builders at Aliante include Astoria Homes, Del Webb, KB Home, Lennar, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes.

    Aliante is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive, Centennial Parkway, Decatur Boulevard and Clayton Street.

    To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and exit east. Keep traveling east on I-215 and exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed south.

    The nominees and special awards were selected by the event's association sponsors: American Society of Interior Designers, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Latin Chamber of Commerce, Nevada Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, Women's Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. Industry professionals and non-professionals voted for free by visiting reviewjournal.com.

    The awards event was held at The Palms.
