KB to host open house in Anthem
Tools
KB Home will host an open house event 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today at its Glengarry community in the Anthem Highlands, a master-planned community in Henderson. Guests can enjoy complimentary lunch served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Glengarry is within walking distance of a variety of shops and restaurants. Residents also enjoy access to a community park.
The two-story homes available at Glengarry are priced from the $170,000s.
Home shoppers have their choice of three floor plans with as many as five bedrooms, 2½ baths and two-car garages. All homes include brick-paved driveways, landscaped backyards and window coverings. Select plans can be built with balconies or covered patios to enhance outdoor living space. One plan also offers the option of a first-floor master bedroom suite.
All Glengarry homes are designed to help homeowners save money on monthly expenses by earning the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star and the NV Energy's Energy Plus certification.
Features like programmable thermostats, radiant barrier roofing, low-e windows and efficient heating and cooling systems all help keep household utility bills low, according to company officials.
KB Home includes its Energy Performance Guide in all of its new homes. Similar to an mpg sticker on cars, the EPG provides homebuyers with estimated monthly electric and gas costs for their new home.
The Glengarry sales center is located at 2833 Culloden Ave. in Henderson. From the Las Vegas Beltway South, exit Eastern Avenue heading south, pass Sunridge Heights, turn right on Sun City Anthem Parkway, right on Bicentennial and then left on Anthem Highlands to the sales center on the right. The Los Angeles-based company is known for its Built to Order program that allows buyers to customize their home.
KB Home has been named the No. 1 Green Homebuilder in a study by Calvert Investments and the No. 1 Homebuilder on Fortune magazine's 2011 World's Most Admired Companies list.
