Lennar Homes has announced its entrance into Ladera Terrace, a neighborhood within The Mesa village at Summerlin. The builder will hold a grand opening event today from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Slidin' Thru food truck will be serving gourmet sliders to visitors. There also will be a tour of three, fully furnished models.

Ladera Terrace homes come with the builder's Everything's Included features, such as granite-slab kitchen countertops, upgraded extra-tall maple cabinets throughout the home, and GE stainless steel appliances.

In addition, the homes have several high-tech, energy-efficient features, such as the Schlage home automation program, low-volatile organic-compounds paint, radiant-barrier roof sheathing and Energy Star-rated appliances.

All of these homes are Energy Star-certified and include green technology that saves money on energy bills, according to company officials. The first four Ladera Terrace homebuyers also will receive an additional Schlage Home Automation camera.

Ladera Terrace is Lennar's first community to open in 2012.

"Ladera Terrace has seen so much interest that this community is almost complete. Homebuyers shouldn't waste time getting out to see this great neighborhood," said Jamiel Rashdan, Lennar new home consultant.

With fewer than 19 homesites left available, these homes feature three floor plans ranging from 2,320 to 2,622 square feet, as many as six bedrooms, as many as three baths and two-car garages.

The community features a residents-only pool, community park, playground, schools, pool-size homesites and is near the 19-acre Mesa Village Park, which has tennis courts, basketball courts, barbecue areas, playgrounds and softball and baseball fields.

Homes are priced from the high $200,000s.

Plus, Lennar is joining the Rebelution, and is offering everyone who attends today's event a chance to enter to win tickets to the Mountain West Conference Running Rebels games.

"We have a fun day planned for the whole family as we celebrate the opening of our newest Summerlin community," said Virginia Ferrar, Lennar new home consultant. "We really encourage serious buyers to come out this weekend for the chance to choose one of these popular homes because they are going fast."
