Builders at the master-planned communities of Mountain's Edge and Providence are adding new neighborhoods and models.

Two new neighborhoods have been added to the 3,500-acre Mountain's Edge master-planned community. They are Mandolin by Lennar Homes, and Quintessa by Camden Homes. KB Home is accepting reservations for two new neighborhoods that will open in April.

"The community has more than 100 floor plans to offer homebuyers and we are thrilled to be adding even more new model homes and floor plan options to the master plan," said Deonna Stocker, manager of information center operations at the community's Home Search Café.

Mandolin at Mountain's Edge is Lennar Homes' newest neighborhood. Mandolin offers four plans, ranging from 1,277 to 1,657 square feet, with prices starting at $149,000. All of the homes are two stories with three bedrooms and 21/2 baths.

Camden Homes, a brand-new builder to Mountain's Edge, is opening its Quintessa neighborhood with five floor plans ranging from 1,345 to 2,502 square feet. The two-story homes start at $145,000 and include either covered balconies or covered patios with up to three bedrooms. The largest home also includes a den and loft.

This April, KB Home will add two new neighborhoods, Maravilla Ridges and Maravilla Courts, with brand-new homes starting in the $130,000s. Homes in Maravilla Ridges will range from 1,393 to 1,935 square feet. Maravilla Courts floor plans range from 1,524 to 2,041 square feet.

The sales center for Chestnut Hill by Richmond American Homes is open. The new neighborhood offers four floor plans, including a single-story, ranging from 1,700 to 2,400 square feet. The homes will feature as many as five bedrooms, as many as 31/2 baths and as many as three-car garages as well as some pool-sized home sites. Pricing for Chestnut Hill starts in the upper-$100,000s.

Ryland Homes is another builder that will be opening models at Providence for its Windimere and Kensington neighborhoods.

The master plan also features the Providence Promenade, a linear park.

When completed, Providence will be comprised of an estimated 7,500 homes. Providence is planned to have two community parks, one linear park and miles of trails systems, one additional elementary school and one middle school, in addition to the existing high schools in the surrounding areas.

Participating homebuilders at Providence include Beazer Homes, KB Home, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, R/S Development, Ryland Homes, and Warmington Homes Nevada.

. Just Google "KB Home Sucks" to see the legacy of Bruce Karatz, Jeffrey Mezger, Gary A. Ray, Ron Burkle, Stephen Bollenbach, Leslie Moonves, Robert L. Johnson and the rest of KB's Board of Directors. All made big profits and did not comply with the FTC compliance order to fix these Lemons in a timely fashion.

This is outstanding that so many home builders are still working to bring home owners to my community of Mountains Edge.

I like my home and my neighbors.

However, since the Clark County Commissioner District F who is a real estate agent to begin with, turned her back on us here in our community by siding with primary builder to decline giving us items of which they prominently discuss as benefits of my community.

Right now Mountains Edge zip code of 89178 and other are listed on top ten most foreclosed homes in Las Vegas.

Primarily because so many residents who bought these homes and saw market values decline and Clark County Commissioners, including Brager(D) rule against us as homeowners in granting builder to decline providing schools, paths, parks, neighborhood swimming pools and community centers and other items.

This has caused a terrible domino chain effect. The entire Mountains Edge community is now completely rezoned by Clark County Commissioner who dumped on us. Now property around us is rezoned from R-3 to C-1, which means anything can be built here, from massage parlors to bars, etc.

WE bought here for family values, we wanted to have family friendly neighborhoods not Vegas entered into our residential areas.

My name is Jeff Durbin MSgt USAF Ret., and I am the Independent American Candidate For Office Of Clark County Commissioner District F. I am a homeowner in Mountains Edge and I will not stand for this being forced to endure spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for a home here in a beautiful neighborhood just to watch it erode under current District F Commissioner whose ties as real estate agent had to influence her voting against thousands of residents in Mountains Edge. Thus our number 6 rating on LV forclosures
