Pardee to hold grand openings
Tools
Pardee Homes is gearing up for four grand openings in the first four months of 2012, including three new LivingSmart neighborhoods in Southern Nevada.
Scheduled to open Jan. 28 is Pardee's new LivingSmart at Mountain's Edge, a collection of three floor plans that range from 1,852 to 2,432 square feet. The neighborhood is located adjacent to the builder's Serrano and Rosetta neighborhoods off of Buffalo and Cactus drives in Mountain's Edge.
Pardee Homes' LivingSmart brand is a program with standard and optional measures that boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor air quality and encourage material conservation and the use of recycled or sustainable resources in new homes, according to Regional Sales Director Rob Tuvell.
LivingSmart at Providence is scheduled to open in late February while LivingSmart at Eldorado is scheduled to open in April.
Additionally, Pardee will introduce Durango Ranch, a neighborhood of large homes on large lots, in February, according to Tuvell.
Located in a rural neighborhood preservation area near Pebble and Cimarron roads, Durango Ranch will feature new single-story designs that include separate casitas and measure from 3,000 to 4,000 square feet. They house as many as five bedrooms, 3½ baths and four-car garages.
LivingSmart Las Vegas Plan One measures 1,852 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths, den and two-car garage. The home can be built with an optional dining room, master-bedroom retreat or fourth bedroom in lieu of the den.
LivingSmart Las Vegas Plan Two measures 2,250 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths and two-car garage. The home has an optional workshop or three-car garage.
LivingSmart Las Vegas Plan Three measures 2,432 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, three baths and a three-car garage.
A planned LivingSmart Las Vegas fourth floor plan could include five bedrooms, three baths, bonus three-car garage and optional den in lieu of the living room. The home can be built with an optional sixth and seventh bedrooms and fourth bath in lieu of the bonus room.
Pardee started building green when it began the pioneering of EnergyStar homes in Southern Nevada in 1998. Today that commitment has grown to become Pardee's far more comprehensive and award-winning LivingSmart program.
The program provides more than 30 earth-friendly standard and optional systems and features for new-home buyer.
Sales office hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. For more information, visit pardeehomes.com or contact an online sales counselor at 604-3332.

They should provide more details. Are they using low-VOC paint, carpet and other materials? Have they stopped pumping air freshener into their model homes? I recently visited a new Pardee home but had to leave because I couldn't breathe due to the strong odors and VOCs.
