Home buyers often develop a lengthy to-do-list as they settle into their new homes. William Lyon Homes is helping them cross off one item from that list -- backyard landscaping.

The builder is including backyard landscaping with each home purchased at its Tularosa neighborhood in the southwestern valley.

"With their backyards already landscaped, all that buyers have to do is to set up their patio furniture and enjoy the outdoors," sales agent Julia Giordani said.

For a limited time, buyers will receive a river rock-inspired or cobble-style landscaping package with their home purchase at the all-single-story neighborhood located within the Mountain's Edge master-planned community.

Details are available at the sales office.

Tularosa is the only all-single-story, new-home neighborhood under development within the 3,500-acre master-planned community.

"They like the conveniences of single-story living with no stairs, our wonderfully designed homes, and having the amenities of Mountain's Edge. Our residents have been impressed by the nearby Exploration Park, which features an Old West-theme playground plus a water splash-and-spray area for children, picnic areas and wonderful trails, and are looking forward to the community's special events," Giordani said.

The neighborhood features four designs, measuring from 1,514 to 2,102 square feet and priced from $160,000.

Both the 1,747-square-foot Plan One and the 1,514-square-foot Plan Four offer a great-room design as well as three bedrooms, two baths and two-car garage.

Offering 1,976 square feet is Plan Two, a four-bedroom, two-bath home that features an island kitchen overlooking a great room and an optional den in lieu of a bedroom.

The 2,102-square-foot Plan Three includes three bedrooms, plus a den or optional fourth bedroom, two baths, as well as separate family, living and formal dining rooms.

Each home also includes designer-appointed kitchens with granite counter tops, an island and beech cabinetry.

To visit, take the southern Las Vegas Beltway to Rainbow Boulevard and head south. Turn right on Blue Diamond Road and then left on Buffalo Drive. Proceed south to Erie Avenue, turn left and follow signs to the neighborhood.

The models are open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon.
