• LAKE MOHAVE -- Windy conditions have limited fishing at Willow Beach. Fishing has been slow.

There have been reports of catfish activity as far south as Katherine Landing. Fishing out of Cottonwood Cove remains poor to fair.

• LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- The NDOW stocked the ponds with rainbow trout last week. The fish generally will bite on PowerBait, worms, flies and a variety of hardware.

With warmer daytime temperatures, anglers might see small insect hatches. This would be a good time to try a fly, fished behind a floating bubble. Use 5 or 6 feet of leader.

• LAUGHLIN -- Anglers have been reeling in stocked rainbow trout from the Colorado River. Spinners, Rapala's, PowerBait and worms have been working.

• EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Fishing has been productive through the ice, with rainbow trout taking PowerBait and worms.

The ice is still thick enough for fishing, though it is getting thin around the edges. Exercise caution when going out on the ice.

• ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- The ice is off at this Lincoln County reservoir.

Some anglers have been testing the waters, but the bite probably will remain slow until the waters warm up. Water levels are up.

• KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Most of the ice has come off the reservoirs.

Anglers will find skim ice in the mornings, the fish to be sluggish and the biting slow.

Visitors should be prepared for sudden changes that often bring wintery weather. Roads are muddy.
