Cimarron rallies to top Arbor View

Alex Goyen singled in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Cimarron-Memorial's softball team to a 6-5 home win over Arbor View on Wednesday.

The hit capped a four-run, seventh-inning rally. Winning pitcher Carrie Sheehan tied the game with a two-run double.

  • Chelsea Williams was 3-for-4 with a double and Starlyn Thomas had two hits and three RBIs for the Spartans.

    Shadow Ridge 19, Mojave 1 -- At Mojave, Jackie Pugliese was 4-for-4 with a double to lead a 19-hit attack as the Mustangs defeated the Rattlers.

    Shadow Ridge's Courtney Winnett was 3-for-3.

    Legacy 12, Cheyenne 2 -- At Legacy, Jessie Wilhelm had a two-run, inside-the-park homer and Kayla Murray went 3-for-4 with four RBIs as the Longhorns routed the Desert Shields.

    Christina Ortiz went 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs for Legacy.

    Centennial 6, Palo Verde 2 -- At Centennial, Alyssa Rampa went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs past the Panthers.

    Centennial's Lindsay Konopelko was 2-for-4 with a double.

    Silverado 15, Coronado 2 -- At Coronado, Mikayla Thielges was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double to help the Skyhawks rout the Cougars.

    Green Valley 5, Tech 1 -- At Green Valley, Razia Ali tossed a four-hitter and struck out nine to lead the Gators past the Roadrunners.

    Green Valley's Jaqui Cappuccilli went 3-for-4 with a double.

    Foothill 10, Liberty 0 -- At Foothill, Shelbie Medrano fired a five-inning, three-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Falcons past the Patriots.

    Medrano also went 3-for-3.

    Basic 6, Del Sol 1 -- At Basic, Stephanie Cinkovich went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Wolves past the Dragons.

    Julie Valdepena and Kelly Lalli each added three hits. Megan Feher tossed a three-hitter for Basic, striking out 10.

    Faith Lutheran 1, Bishop Gorman 0 -- At Gorman, Jessie Tracy threw a two-hitter to lift the Crusaders over the Gaels.

    Tracy struck out seven, walked two and scored the game's run.
