Seismometer - Exits two tough stakes races to gain big time class relief; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.

Malabar Star - It's unusual to see Garrett Gomez in a claiming race, but there's lots of them at Del Mar; back class edge.

Pass Me the Sugar - Speedball figures to be the target in the field; key will be how slow Gryder can nurse the pace.

    Long Shot - Angel's Reward

    Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up

Son of Pegasus - Seldom do you see a Neil Drysdale horse debut in a maiden claimer; he finished fast and is the one to beat.

Athenry - Beaten favorite adds the blinkers on today for Jorge Periban; underrated trainer is dangerous in this spot.

    Long Shot - Little Dude

    Race 4 - 1 mile, Purse $21,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up

Candlestick Park - Returned from a 2-month freshening with a nice second facing tougher; Mullins drops her into a good spot.

Chimera Star - She has been improving with each start for John Sadler; Garrett Gomez is riding first call for a hot barn.

Hot Little Bug - Did a classic pop and stop in last off a brief 2-month hiatus; she a lot better than that at 6/1 odds.

    Long Shot - Private Quarters

    Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Freebiehadthemoves - Traffic trouble and a poorly timed ride gave her no chance in last; she does have a solid late kick.

Bella Dancer - I've never picked a Lloyd Wicker horse before, but this filly was freaky in last; could have a high ceiling.

Long Shot - Warren's Cat Woman

    Race 7 - 6 furlongs, Purse $59,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

She's Cheeky - She's run into some toughies despite running good races; her experience could be a major factor in the lane.
