The Trojans, who moved from Class 3A to 4A this season, won for the first time since 2006. In doing so, they spoiled the 11-man debut for the Saints, who moved from 1A to 2A this season.

"Everyone in our school has kind of just forgotten about us, so it's good to be able to bring them a win," Floyd said.

Pahrump Valley totaled 211 yards on the ground. The Trojans overcame the loss of starting quarterback Nick Murphy to a right knee injury while the junior was playing defense late in the second quarter.

Mountain View jumped to a 12-2 lead with second-quarter touchdown runs of 11 and 29 yards by Mark Allen and Alex Watson.

But the Saints' defense faltered after entering the fourth quarter with an 18-9 lead, allowing a key 58-yard run by Floyd on the clinching drive.

Senior quarterback Raymond Velarde completed 10 of 16 passes for 177 yards and a TD to lead Mountain View.

• Faith Lutheran 19, Campbell Hall (Calif.) 12 -- At Campbell Hall, David Sperry tossed two touchdown passes to Don Pearson to lift the Crusaders.

Sperry and Pearson combined on a 33-yard touchdown for the game's first score. Sperry's 15-yard pass to Pearson in the second quarter gave the Crusaders a 19-6 lead.

John Cartier had a 56-yard touchdown run for Faith Lutheran in the first quarter.

The Crusaders made big plays on defense despite allowing Campbell Hall to rack up 355 yards. Faith Lutheran recovered two fumbles, had an interception and blocked a punt.

Sperry was 8 of 18 for 115 yards, with Pearson hauling in five passes for 91 yards. The Crusaders managed 240 yards of offense, including 93 yards on the ground -- 56 of those on Cartier's run.
