WACO, Texas ---- Q-squared proved to be quite a winning formula for 11th-ranked Baylor. That's Quincy old and Quincy new.

Senior Quincy Acy and freshman Quincy Miller sparked a second-half run that finally put the Bears in control in a 77-67 victory over San Diego State on Tuesday.

Miller's inside basket broke a tie and started an 18-5 run that put Baylor (3-0) ahead to stay. It was Acy's reverse, one-handed slam dunk around San Diego State's tallest player in the middle of that spurt that really changed the momentum while Baylor also turned up the defensive pressure.

Miller, a 6-foot-9-inch forward, had 20 points and has led the Bears in scoring in all three games this season.

Chase Tapley had 28 points while hitting eight of 10 3-pointers to lead San Diego State (3-1), which played its fourth game in five days and had 21 turnovers -- the same as Baylor.

n Stanford 64, Colorado State 52 ---- At Stanford, Calif., Josh Owens scored four of his 15 points in the final 1:54 to lead the Cardinal past the Rams in the second round of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Aaron Bright added 12 points for Stanford (3-0), which will advance to next week's semifinal round at Madison Square Garden in New York. Wes Eikmeier scored 13 points to lead Colorado State (2-1).

The Rams went scoreless in the final 3:01.

n Wyoming 75, Northern Colorado 56 ---- At Laramie, Wyo., Francisco Cruz scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Cowboys (2-0).
