DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE:
Go Mad
Rabbit holes may be in short supply in the neighborhoods of Las Vegas, but that doesn't preclude them from being used as the setting for a Mad Hatter tea party for the younger set.
APPETIZERS:
Former owners of La Madonna open Mundo
La Madonna has a child. The former owners of that well-reviewed Mexican eatery, in the southwest valley until it closed last year because of a rent dispute, have reopened in the World Market Center, 495 S. Grand Central Parkway, under a new name.
TASTE OF THE TOWN:
Elegant pastry shells found in valley
If you've ever seen sfogliatelle you're not likely to forget them -- beautiful pastries, ribbed and layered to resemble a clamshell (some say lobster shells; it depends on the pastry-maker), filled with a ricotta mixture lightly flavored with citrus. And, readers tell Nancy Nastasi, they're available in Las Vegas.
